We are all born into sin and separated from God.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
Trust that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
Turn away from your sin and turn toward God.
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” – Acts 3:19
“In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” – Acts 17:30
Declare Jesus as Lord of your life—this is both a confession and a surrender.
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” – Romans 10:13
When you believe and confess, your sins are forgiven and you are made new.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9
Baptism is a public declaration of your faith and obedience to Jesus.
“Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” – Acts 2:38
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” – Romans 6:4
Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit for guidance, power, and growth.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” – Acts 1:8
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” – Galatians 5:22–23
